Wanda Gail Bowen, 66, of Bowen Farms, Iva SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC.
Born on June 27, 1958, in Oconee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Hester. She was a former employee at Sangamo, BSAF and worked in manufacturing and production for several years.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Findley Max Bowen; brother; Tony Hester (Debbie) of West Union; brothers-in-law: Sammy Bowen (Vicki) and William Bowen; nephew: Ryan Hester (Ketki); niece: Lesley Forrest (Bobby) and Erica Kelly Goiens ; great-nieces: Adalyn Forest, Nora Hester and Eva Hester; and great-nephew: Wyatt Forrest.
A funeral service will be held at Freedom Center South, 3235 D L Dr, Anderson, SC 29624, on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 3pm with Pastor Jeremy Sears officiating. Entombment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 2pm to 3pm at the Freedom Center South.
The family will be at the home.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
