Wanda B. Wingate, 76, of Anderson SC passed away on February 26, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood, SC she was the daughter of the late J.H. and Annie Luker Burdette, she is a retired teacher from Anderson School District 5, a life long resident of Anderson County, SC, and a member of West Anderson Church of God.
She is survived by her spouse S.C. Wingate, and daughters: Connie Lee Gibson(John) and Kelley Sue Wingate, grandchildren raised in the home: Autumn Brock Cathey(Daniel), Amber H. Autry(Samuel Jr) and 4 additional grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons: Marty Robin and Bryan Keith Gunter, a daughter: Glenda Kay Hitchew, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary Downtown Chapel on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2pm with Pastor Mark Daniel and Pastor John Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the mortuary prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm.
