Dakota Gilstrap, 22, of Honea Path, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Born in Anderson, SC, on December 8, 2000, he was the son of Rodney Lee Gilstrap and Michelle Louise Gilstrap. He was a firefighter and a member of Hopeless Car Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Asher Lee Gilstrap and Daniel James “DJ” Gilstrap; brother: Jeremy Lee Gilstrap and sister: Breanna Supnick (Mike); maternal grandmother: Francene Galbally; aunts: Chasity Sexton and Lynn Gallbally; uncles: Sean Gallbally and Jordan Sexton; nieces: Eloise and Joelle Supnick, Daisy Gilstrap and Julia Gallbally; nephew: Axhl Williams, and the mother of his children: Lauren James.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather: Brian Galbally; paternal grandmother: Diane Bryant and paternal grandfather: Danny Gilstrap.
A visitation will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 3pm to 5pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
