Gregory “Greg” Brian Ray, 63, of Belton, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his residence.
Born on April 2, 1960, in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late John Henry and Joe Ann Pace Ray. Greg was known to be a hard worker, a loving brother, and his loving commitment to his church.
He is survived by his siblings: John Henry Ray Jr (Ann), Anthony Ray, Stanley Ray (Annette), Terry Ray (Eliza) and Tammy Fargis (Lester); his daughter at heart and great grandniece: Laci Mercer; and his “partner in crime” Jennie Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1pm with Pastor Michael Hanley and Pastor Allen Black officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 11am to 1pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
