Helen L. Browning Hayes, 93, of Anderson SC, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Linley Park Health and Rehab.
Born in Fairplay, SC, on October 28, 1925, she was twice widowed, first to the late Ralph Browning, then to the late Edward Hayes and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her sons: Jimmy Browning (Virginia), Lamar Browning (Beverly), Jackie Browning (Kim), and Richard Browning (Sandra); daughter: Vickie Johnson; brothers: James Norris (Hazel), Bill Norris (Margo) Donny Norris (Cathy); sisters: Hazel Brown, Bobbi Simpson (Don); 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to her husbands, she is predeceased by her parents, a son: Michael Norris; daughter: Linda Rudder, and sisters: Mary Wallace and Kathleen Reed; granddaughter: Rhonda Stancil; grandson: Travis Rudder and a great-great granddaughter: Tabitha Nash.
Funeral services will be held at Homeland Park Church of God on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 1pm with Rev. Donny Norris and Pastor Vernon Soles officiating. Burial will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Church on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 11am to 1pm.
The family will be at the home of Richard Browning.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
