Marion S. Gilbert, 91, of Pelzer, SC passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Sparta, NY he was the son of the late Freeman and Elnora Gilbert and the husband to the late Harriet Gilbert. Marion was a proud WWII Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his children: Fred, Terry, Linda, Marilyn, Ronald, and Gary; siblings: Freeman, Leslie, Bruce, Marie, and Pat; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son: James; and sisters: Margie and Margaret.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10am at Midway Bible Church and will be officiated by Reverend Phil Gerrard. Private burial will be held at Harriet Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his home, 101 Gilbert Drive Pelzer, SC 29669, from 6pm – 8pm.
The family will be at the residence.
