Peggy Simpson Wilbanks, 84, of Anderson, SC passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at her home.
Born on December 31, 1939, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late J.D. Simpson and Elizabeth Kirby Simpson, and the wife of the late Earl Wilbanks. She attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Peggy was a loving mother who adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Greg Wilbanks, Tony Wilbanks, and Rusty Wilbanks (Risa); daughters: Cindy Chandler (Ricky) and Lisa Wooten (Wayne); brother: Johnny Simpson (Diane); sisters: Shirley Simpson and Vickie Simpson (Ron); 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother: Robert Simpson and sister: Diane Brady.
A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel with Pastor Billy Ray Whitfield officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel from 3pm to 4pm on Friday, January 19, 2024.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
