Rei Reid Wigington, 88, of Piedmont, SC passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Born on December 28, 1930 he was the son of the late George Q Sr and Eunice Reid Wigington and the husband to Linda Joyce Wigington. Rei was a Veteran of the US Army and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren: Anthony (Kirstin) and Miranda (Heath); granddaughter: Olivia “Pumpkin”; a special niece: Cindy Williams and numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sons: Joel Wigington and Rei Reid Wigington Jr; brother: George Q Wigington Jr; and sisters: Ruby Broome, Janie Mae Hall, Mary Ellison, Francis Outz, and Margaret Wood.
A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am – 12pm, at the South Chapel.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
