Robert L. (Rob) Staton, 59 of Greenville, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Staton was born in Greenville County and was the son of the late Alvin W. and Mary Jo Staton. He was a member of Dunean Baptist Church and served in the U.S Army 2nd Battalion 6th infantry of the Berlin Brigade.
He is survived by a daughter, Corrie L. Mansfield and her husband Eric of Belton, one granddaughter: Kaydence M. (Kayde) Mansfield, one brother: Randy C. Staton of Greenville, two sisters: Rhonda A. Eskew (Jack), of Piedmont, and Robin S. Sorrow (Nathan) of Decatur, AL, four nieces: Jana S. Florence (Todd), Kayla D. Eskew, McKynze J. Sorrow, and MaKaylah A. Sorrow, two nephews: Alvin R. Staton, Jr., and Dustin J. Eskew, two great-nieces: Sara Kate Florence and Juliana Florence, three great-nephews: Landon Staton, Lorick Staton and Karstin Eskew. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin R. Staton.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at 3pm at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery. Arrangements are being held by Sosebee Mortuary. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert L. (Rob) Staton’s life.
