Roger Dale Cape, 74, of Anderson SC, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his residence.
Born on July 26, 1949, in Walhalla, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur and Nellie Blackwell Cape. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Karen Martin Cape; children: Kim Bayne (Joseph) and Kelly Cape (Rob); step-daughter: candace Fulmer (David); step-son: Joseph Pierce (Amanda); son at heart: Bricen Sherman; sisters: Vickie Clark (Lester), Phyllis Owens (Randy), Lorene McGaha (Leon), Lynn Morgan(Tommy), Melissa Cape and Melinda Cape; grandchildren: Donna and Adam Cape, Johanna Underwood, Chloe and Olivia Browning, Dylan, Kaitlane and Emily Tucker, Ethan Pierce, Joel and Elias Veintidos; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters: Irene and Joyce.
A memorial service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 4pm with Pastor Eddie Allen officiating with Military Rites. Inurnment will take place at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 2:30pm to 4pm at the South Chapel.
The family will be at the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
