Ronald “PeeWee” Eugene Fountain, 71, of Belton, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at St Francis Eastside.

Born on January 17, 1951, in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late Marvin Columbus and Nellie Pearl Elgin Fountain and was predeceased by his wife of 41 years Betty Joyce Fountain.

“PeeWee or Boss Man” retired from Asplundh Tree Company after 41 years. He was known as a hard worker, reliable and took care of those in his charge. His grand and great children referred to him as Papa and his absence will be felt but memories live on.

He is survived by his children: Tonya Crocker (Johnny), Misty Reeder (James), Dusty Fountain (Jennifer) and Christy Fountain; also, his children at heart: Elisha Pilgrim and Tatyana Fountain; brothers: Willis Earl Fountain, Marvin “Yogi” Franklin Fountain; sisters: Selma Fountain Whitfield (Sammy) and Jean Fountain Jordan; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his brothers: Thomas Ira Fountain, Charles Randolph Fountain, Charles Edward Fountain, and James Clayton Byrum; sisters: Brenda Joyce Fountain McCloud, Barbara Ann Fountain, Thelma Fountain McCullough, and Vivian Christine King.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel with Pastor Johnny Propes and Pastor Duree Propes officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 1pm to 2:30pm.

The family will be at the residence.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
