Scot Broeker August 7, 1954 - April 9, 2016

Scot Kolbe Broeker, 61, of Anderson, South Carolina died Saturday, April 9th at his home due to a respiratory illness.

Born August 7th, 1954 in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Carl W. Broeker and Adele Weilert Broeker. Scot graduated from Cranford High School in 1972 and later attended Anderson College and graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A.

As one of the founding members of the Electric City Playhouse, a performer in Atlanta’s Theater of the Stars and a notable designer in both Anderson and Charlotte, North Carolina, Scot will be remembered fondly for his love of performance and creative expression. He was an active member of NewSpring Church and employed by the YMCA.

Scot is survived by his daughter Heather Muto, her husband Andrew and their son Anderson of Santa Monica, California; his son Michael of Charlotte, North Carolina; his mother Adele, sister Carolyn Knight and niece Aaliyah Knight of Anderson, South Carolina.

The family will welcome guests throughout the week at 2502 Poplar Lane.
